Jalal Abu-Gazaleh

Chairman & Founder

AM Foods Group was founded in 1995 with a vision to import and distribute premium Australian meat to Egypt's leading hotels, restaurants, and retail chains. Founded by Jalal Abu-Gazaleh, the company built strong early capabilities in sourcing and supply, quickly earning a reputation for reliability, technical expertise, and long-term partnerships across Egypt's food industry.

In 2006, Abu-Gazaleh launched Gourmet Egypt, strengthening the group’s presence in premium retail and manufacturing. Over the following years, AM Foods expanded its distribution arm and developed long-standing partnerships with global leaders in bakery and chocolate, serving a broad spectrum of customers from artisan bakeries to large-scale industrial producers.

In 2022, the group established AM International Supplies (AMIS) to support Egyptian manufacturers in accessing international markets, providing technical know-how, tailored formulations, and export regulatory guidance.

In 2025, AM Foods Group launched LAB101, an independent innovation and R&D center operating with the endorsement of AM Foods. That same year, AMIS introduced a frozen Egyptian Baladi bread made using a natural Puratos sourdough solution, now available in the United States.

Today, AM Foods Group serves hotels, restaurants, cafés, industrial manufacturers, retailers, and exporters, offering a diversified portfolio spanning meat, seafood, bakery and pastry ingredients, gelato solutions, specialty food products, frozen items, and professional tools and equipment.
